Welcome to the new Smart Step Literacy Lab
Smart Step Literacy Lab Classroom Project, a professional development opportunity for teachers of grades 4 – 12, is based upon current research that supports educational pedagogy. Literacy Lab is a compliment to a standards based curriculum, not a prescribed curriculum. Schedule
Friday Night: Dinner with author in Cone Chapel or Founders Room, American Heritage Auditorium Building, 6:30 - 9:30 PM Author signings will follow the Friday night dinner and Saturday afternoon sessions.
Saturday Morning: Breakfast is at 8:00am. Two, one and a half hour sessions with the author (beginning at 9:00) discussing the use of their books in the classroom. Cone Chapel or Founders Room, American Heritage Conference Center. Lunch break 12 - 1:30pm (lunch is on your own).
Saturday PM: One and a half hour session with author in the Cone Chapel or Founders Room, American Heritage Conference Center beginning at 1:30 and ending at 3:00.
